The Easter Raffle tasing funds for Dementia UK at John Kyrle High School has been won by year 11 student, Owen Davies.

The money raised is going to this charity as it is also being supported by year 11 student, Ebony Cole, who is doing a skydive raising funds and awareness for the condition in memory of her grandfather.

The raffle managed to raise more than £900 for Dementia UK, a charity focused on supporting those living with dementia and their families.

Ebony said: “In April this year I will be completing a skydive in memory of my grandad, Martin Chapman.

“My grandad was my best-friend and he suffered with dementia, which is why I have chosen to do this skydive for Dementia UK. Raising money and awareness for this horrible disease.

“I appreciate all of your support.”

John Kyrle High School Teacher, Mrs Morgan, said: “We are absolutely delights to say we raised over £900!

“This enormous amount exceeded our expectations exponentially.

“The fantastic response that we received confirms that when we work together, there is nothing that the John Kyrle family cannot do.

“Our heart-felt thanks goes to everyone who bought a ticket or supported this enterprise.”
