A small vineyard at Strangford near Ross-on-Wye is one of eight establishments in the county new licences.

Sidonia Vineyards is seeking a licence to offer online and phone sales for its wine, which customers would collect from its premises between 9am and 6pm every day. Comments can be made until May 10.

Managers at Dorstone playing field in the Golden Valley are seeking a licence to host “occasional” musical events between June and September. This would permit live and recorded music until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and alcohol and hot food to be served until 11.30pm.

Hereford city council is seeking permission to once again run Applefest in the city’s Hightown, on September 29, which would include music being performed until 9pm, and sale of alcohol until the same time. Closing date for comments is April 30.

Payment services firms Allpay is seeking a licence for its new café and shop, “The Sidings” to open to the public between noon and 2am seven days a week. This can be commented on until May 10.

Ty Gwyn Cider of Pen Y Lan Farm near Pontrilas is seeking an extension to its licence to allow its bar and shop to serve holidaying guests until 11.30pm seven days a week. Comments by May 14.

A licence is being sought for the Beets in the Field fundraising festival at Kings Pitts Farm, Kingsthorne south of Hereford on June 15. Live music is planned between 6.30pm and 11.30pm, and a licence for alcohol and hot food sales is also sought until that time. Comments by May 17.

Townsend farm shop and café in Pembridge near Leominster is seeking to extend its licence to allow drinking both indoors and in its outdoor seating area until 11pm on Thursdays to Saturdays, until 8pm on Sundays, and until 10pm on other days. Comments by May 17.

Meanwhile Pembridge parish hall is seeking to extend its licence to allow sales of alcohol and hot food and drinks till midnight seven days, and to permit live and recorded music, plays and films also till midnight. Comments by May 20.
