Ashfield Park School Council set out to rid the Wilton Road carpark of litter on Thursday, March 21.

Pupils were pleased to notice less litter than the previous year but were left disappointed by the amount of glass bottles and dog poo bags stuffed in hedges.

They emphasised how litter culprits needed to be reminded of the council litter bins around the area for that purpose.

All who took part in this annual event were pleased with their efforts and left the site cleaner and tidier for residents, visitors and for wildlife to enjoy.

This litter pick is organised by Ross Community Litter Clean Up Crew and is part of the Great British Spring Clean.
